Now that we are wrapping up February, I can finally update you on where we are. At the end of last month, I finished the local small business academy. The course provides entrepreneurs with all the tools they need to succeed in today’s economy. It is a great resource and tool for anyone who wants to run a small business. The small business center has been an excellent resource for Blue Stitch and has helped us get off to a good start.
Let’s talk about why you are here—the pants. A lot has been going on behind the scenes to get everything ready to make this vision a reality. So I have been working hard to collaborate with several production companies, and I have settled on one. They are based in the United States and have an in-depth process that matches Blue Stitch and our dedication to offering the best quality to our customers. Now we start the development process. The development process takes everything we have so far. It makes it a physical product that we can test and adjust before production begins. Our goal is to create a Kickstarter to help fund the production process. The company has a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 300 for each item, which would be 300 sweatpants and 300 sweatshirts. This MOQ means that funding will be mandatory to get into the production phase. So, look for that post in the next month or two and help where you can.
We don’t want to leave you hanging for an extended time waiting for products, so I am creating a few products that you can buy soon. I want to make sure that every product we sell matches our high standards. At the moment, I am working on getting T-Shirts ready for pre-order. To prepare for the pre-orders, I have bought three brands of t-shirts, washed them multiple times, and wore them for various activities to ensure that I provide you with the best product. The pre-orders for these t-shirts will begin in March. Pre-Orders will be $20 per T-Shirt plus shipping and include a T-Shirt and sticker for our customers. After pre-orders close, the price of the shirts will go up to $25 plus shipping and will not have stickers. The stickers will be available in two sizes and will be available for purchase. We are looking to add keychains, beanies, and various other items in the future. Check out our shop page to see what we have available.
The business aspect is changing a little for us. Robin is doing vanlife and felt that he could not contribute as much as he would like to the business, so I will now be the owner. Don’t worry.
